Filled Chard Wraps

FILLED CHARD WRAPS

 

To prepare chard, cut off stems and boil or steam in water until just tender, set aside.

 

Ingredients:

1 lb. hamburg                                 

1 small zucchini, cut up

1 medium onion                                 

1 cup cooked brown rice

Fresh garlic                                             

Swiss or cheddar cheese

Spaghetti, marinara or your favorite sauce

Parmesan cheese

 

Brown hamburg with olive oil, add onion, zucchini and garlic and sauté until just tender.  Add cooked rice and cheese.   Place a generous spoonful of filling onto the chard and place in baking dish.  Cover chard with spaghetti sauce and parmesan cheese.  Bake for about 30-40 minutes.
