WHOLE GRAIN BAKED GOODS AND BREADS - We offer a large selection of whole grain baked goods and breads, made with organic spelt flour and as many local and organic ingredients as possible – everything is made from scratch with no fillers or artificial anything.   We welcome orders for special occasions.  Our weekly email includes what will be available each week – for an inclusive list, please sign up for our harvest share email.

WHY WE USE SPELT

 

  Spelt is 4 times higher in fiber than whole wheat, which helps reduce total and LDL cholesterol levels

 

  Spelt is 40% higher in protein than whole wheat

 

  Spelt is extremely water soluble, making it more easily absorbed by the body than other grains

 

  Spelt is an excellent source of vitamin B2, a very good source of manganese, and a good source of niacin, thiamin, and copper. This combination of nutrients may make it a helpful food for persons with migraine headaches, atherosclerosis, or diabetes.

 

  Two oz. of spelt flour will supply you with 24.0% of the daily value for niacin, which helps prevent free radicals from oxidizing LDL
