Produce
Eden View Produce When God created the Garden of Eden, there were no artificial stimulants, pesticides, herbicides or genetically altered crops. God’s creation was perfectly natural – the original organic system! Although we are not a Certified Organic farm, we do strive to follow all guidelines as set forth by the USDA. It is our belief that a healthy soil will grow some of the most nutritious and delicious produce you will find.
Organic produce farming practices focus on fertilizing the soil with compost, plant waste, mined substances found naturally, and aged animal manures. This practice actually feeds the soil organisms, and the organisms are then able to introduce many compounds that help the plants through combining with soil minerals and making them more available to plant roots. The presence of these microorganisms helps to explain the trend showing the higher mineral content of organic food crops. When you compare the levels of heavy metals in organic versus conventionally grown produce, the levels are markedly higher in the conventionally grown group. Whether you are buying locally grown produce, or shopping at your local grocery store, the health benefits and flavor of organically grown produce certainly are worth it!
