Weekly update--the next BIG step

Posted 1/9/2011 8:09am by Eric.

Greetings Everyone -

Let's start with an adoption update--

Tomorrow (Sunday) Eric leaves for the final trip to Ukraine.  The trip will culminate with he and Dema returning to the State College Airport Thursday January 20th.  This trip should be pretty straight forward, submit applications-- wait, submit more applications and wait some more.  All of the legal preceedings are finished, so we do not anticipate any road blocks.  If you would like to follow the journey, please check out our blog--there will be postings and pictures daily.

And--if there is anyone out there who is considering, or has considered an international adoption of a group of children, we met an amazing family!  The children range from 8-13 years old and are a great group of kids.  During our initial trip, we met these kids and several of them asked "America?"  During our last day, Nastya, the 10 year old, wrapped her arms around Eric's waist and looked up and said "America PLEASE!!"  We know that we are not in a postion to bring these kids home, but we have committed to advocate for them and try to find them the home they so desperately need!

HARVEST SHAK - CLOSED FOR THE SEASON!!  However, you can pre-order for pick-up here at the house on Fridays or Saturdays.

Where to find us:  We're INDOORS Tuesdays from 2-6 at THE BOALSBURG FIREHALL, click on the logo above to find out more about the indoor farmers' market. If you have never visited this market it is a great way to spend an afternoon--lots of vendors and plenty of free parking.  Fridays we make deliveries for pre-orders in the parking lot between Uncle Joe's Woodshed and Everything Natural in Altoona from 3:00-3:30 p.m.  Saturdays you can find us indoors at the Old Gregg Community Center (former elementary school) from 10-1.  This market is a mixture of vendors of several area farmers' markets.  Come out, grab a cup of coffee, chat and stay for lunch because there's always something ready to eat!  Please remember that orders for Tuesday/Wednesday need to be placed by noon on Monday, and Friday/Saturday orders are due by Wednesday evening.
