Dema's teacher tells us that he has an amazing mind when it comes to math and he comes home each day excited about school. The chickens we got him this spring are getting old enough where they should start to lay eggs, so we are hopeful that by mid-October he will have enough to sell...we'll see!
WEDNESDAY DELIVERY TIME CHANGE - A reminder that our Wednesday delivery time in Altoona is now 2:00 - 2:30 p.m., same day, same location. This allows me to return home to get Dema off the bus. We appreciate the flexibility of our Altoona customers and hope this isn't too much of an inconvenience.
In response to customer requests, we now accept Visa, MasterCard, and Americam Express at the Tuesday market.
ALL ORDERS will need to be received by late Sunday evening for delivery at our Tuesday market and for our Altoona deliveries. Orders may also be picked up at our farm on Wednesdays when convenient or on other arranged days.
Where to find us: Tuesdays from 2-6 p.m. at Boalsburg military museum. Wednesdays we make deliveries for pre-orders in the parking lot between Uncle Joe's Woodshed and Everything Natural in Altoona from 2:00 - 2:30 p.m. Orders can also be picked up here at our farm, preferably on Wednesdays.
Beef: The beef is sold by the 1/8th, 1/4th, 1/2 or by the whole animal. The cost is $3.60/lb hanging weight and the price includes vacuum packaging. Burger is available each week for $5.25/lb. - 10 or more lbs. for $4.75/lb.

FROM THE FIELD: lettuce, green beans (maybe--I need to check on the damage from last nights frost!), candy onions, garlic, white potatoes, beets, spaghetti squash, and mustard greens.
FROM THE KITCHEN:
Meat pies: beef broccoli or chicken spinach. Made with Eden View pastured meats and potatoes, tossed in a mushroom cheddar cream sauce.
Spinach Quiche
Hummus - spinach feta or azuki ancho - made with organic beans, fresh garlic, olive oil, spices
Veggies in Brine - 1) Cabbage/Red Pepper, or 2) beets, - pickled with a sweet/sour brine made with our raw apple cider vinegar
Energy Bars - Made with organic cocoa, organic oats, organic coconut oil, natural peanut butter, almond butter, seeds and nuts
Foccacia Bread - topped with cook's choice
Pita bread (pkg of 4).
Nutty Berry Mix Granola
Kombucha - apricot, ginger, acai berry, wild berry
Products from local partners: free range eggs, grass-fed burger

It's been another busy week here at Eden View! There were no hunters to guide this week, so we even closer to putting the fieds to bed for the winter, the fall crops are coming along...slowly but surely, and the kitchen is rolling right along!Dema's teacher tells us that he has an amazing mind when it comes to math and he comes home each day excited about school. Chickens: Frozen this week - price for whole chickens, average weight between 4-5.5 lbs. is $3.25/lb., petite hens, about 2.5 lbs. are $10 each, and halves are $3.50/lb. These birds are pastured and pure . . . as well as super tasty! We have finished our test round for the addition of pet food! This is 100% pure chicken, pet tested and mother approved! It is also a pure and natural source of glucosamine and condroiten for your pet's joint health. It will be available in 1 pound containers for $3.50 per pound.
